About the Visit
The campus visit begins at the Levinson Visitors Center with a glimpse into the fascinating world of scientists, including interactive exhibits and multi-media presentation of highly advanced technology. The next stop: The Weizmann House – home of Dr. Chaim Weizmann, first President of the State of Israel and founder of the Weizmann Institute of Science. To conclude we will hear a short introduction to ULTRASAT a scientific mini-satellite carrying a telescope with an unprecedentedly large field of view (210 squared degrees) observing in the ultraviolet (220-280nm,UV), that is proposed by an Israeli/US collaboration to be constructed and launched to high-altitude (near geostationary) orbit by 2020/21.
