About the tour

In memory of Ilan Ramon, the first Israeli astronaut

Experience the magic of the desert…213
The tour will begin at the Avdat National Park, UNESCO World Heritage Site, encompasses the remains of one of the famed ancient Nabatean cities along the Incense Route.
After the tour, we will visit the Hadasaar Natural Living – a community and tourist gathering place and an organic & local deli and tapas-bar, where we will enjoy a light lunch – typical to the desert.
After lunch, we will visit the Ramon visitor’s center, in memory of Ilan Ramon, the first Israeli astronaut, whose shuttle exploded during the fatal mission of Columbia, in which he and six other crew members were killed in the re-entry accident.
This experience combines the story of Israel’s first astronaut and a deeper understanding of the largest, most unique, geological crater of its kind in the world.
