IAI is Israel’s primary space systems integrator, through IAI’s Systems, Missile & Space Group. IAI’s System, Missile and Space Group integrates all the engineering capabilities required for satellites development, up to full satellite integration, testing and operation, including launching, mission control center, tracking and multi-satellite remote stations.
IAI designs, manufactures and operates the AMOS Communication Satellites series as well as Light Weight Imaging Satellites.
AMOS 2, 3 and 4 communication satellites are co-located in a geostationary orbit, 4W. The AMOS communication satellites provide fixed and mobile communication services to TV broadcasters, and programmers, DBS operators, government organizations, VSAT networks and others.
IAI’s Light Weight Imaging Satellites include both SAR and Eletro-Optic type satellites, including TecSAR and the Optsat imaging series. The Optsat series includes Optsat 1000, 2000 and 3000.
About the tour
During the IAC 2015 event, IAI Space Division will host and conduct tours at the Yahud Campus located next to the Ben-Gurion Airport. The tour plan will include an introductory presentation describing IAI Space Division capabilities along with several interesting tours showing and demonstrating the Satellite integration facility and the AMOS Command and Control Ground Station: MBT Space Division introduction Presentation, AMOS Ground Station Tour, Satellite Integration Facility Tour.
