Credit cards
Credit cards are widely accepted in Israel. Registration for the congress can be by MasterCard, Visa and American Express.
Currency and Money Exchange
The currency in Israel is the New Israel Shekel (NIS). We recommend using the local currency although most expenses in Israel may be paid with major credit cards. Most ATMs accept all major credit cards such as Master Card, Visa, Diners, and American Express.

Exhibition
A commercial and professional exhibition will be take place during the meeting, parallel to the Congress hours.
Visas
All visitors entering Israel must have a passport that is valid for at least 6 months from the date they will leave Israel. Visitors are allowed to remain in Israel for up to 3 months from the date of their arrival. Please check to see if your country of origin belongs to the Visa Waiver Program which entitles citizens of certain countries to enter Israel without having to arrange a visa ahead of time.

Visitors from countries that are not members of the Visa Waiver Program must make a request for an entry permit/visa from the Israeli consulate in their country or region before they arrive to Israel.
Liability
The Organizing Committee and/or Congress Organizer shall not be held liable for personal accidents, losses or damage to the private property of registered delegates of the Congress Delegates
Insurance
The Congress organizers cannot accept liability for personal injuries sustained, or for loss or damage of property belonging to Congress participants (or their accompanying persons), either during, or as a result of the Congress. Delegates and their accompanying guests are strongly advised to purchase adequate travel insurance for the duration of their travel, the Congress and tours
Weather
The average day time temperature for October in Israel is between 15-25 degrees Celsius. Evenings get cool in Jerusalem and can be chilly. Have a light weight sweater/cardigan available.
Electricity
Electrical equipment in Israel is 220 volt A.C., single phase, 50 cycles. Some appliances may require a plug adapter that can be purchased locally
Dietary
Food in the hotel and in most restaurants is kosher which means, on a practical level that meat dishes and dairy dishes are not served together (e.g. with a meat meal coffee will be served without milk etc.)For specific dietary needs please notify the congress secretariat in advance. We cannot guarantee to supply specific diets but shall do our best to accommodate individual needs.

Our tourism department will be delighted to offer you customized tours and private guides, car rentals and hotel bookings. Do not hesitate to ask for advice and information
Tipping
Tipping is widespread and regulated in Israel. An indicative amount is 10% of the total bill. With few exceptions, no service charge is automatically added to restaurant or hotel bills. In most cases it is NOT possible to add a tip to a credit card bill and it should be added in cash
Health
Israel has a high standard of hygiene and medical care, comparable to any Western standard. Doctors and dentists are highly trained and hospitals are well equipped. In the event of illness, hotel staff can arrange a doctor for you or speak to any member of the organizing committee.
